Hello

I started out exactly where everyone is starting at this point. I was handed a sheet to pick and choose which targeted date fund that I wanted (I had no clue what that was or what I was choosing) and proceeded along with ease knowing my retirement was set up for life. It wasn't until I became a financial advisor years later that I realized how illiterate I was in the world of finances. I had no clue that I had options before me or that I was lacking the information needed to make an educated decision. It was then that I also realized that our biggest issue when it comes to our finances is that we have no clue what it all means.

One day I was sitting with a friend who was having me look over some of his retirement funds where I asked him what his goal was. He looked at me like most of my past clients had and said, "Well you are the expert. Just tell me what to do".  It was then I that it dawned on me, if we were to actually educate people on their choices and empower them to make these decisions what it would look for the financial industry.  Financial independence would be the new millennial concept. This knowledge that I can help people learn is what is driving me to pursue this course. I want individuals to tell me that they know longer need my services because they feel capable of handling their own future. This is the biggest reward!
